Data Collected

The 24 Seconds application collects the following types of data:

Advertising Identifiers

On iOS devices, we use the IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) provided by Apple. On Android devices, we use the AAID (Android Advertising ID) provided by Google.

These identifiers are used by Google AdMob to display advertisements. You can reset or limit the use of these identifiers at any time:

If you deny consent to tracking, you will continue to see ads, but they will not be personalized based on your interests.

In-App Purchases

Purchases made through the app are managed directly by Google Play Store or Apple App Store. PlayFairPlay Team does not collect or store payment data. For information on the processing of data related to purchases, please refer to the privacy policies of Google and Apple.

Third-Party Services

The app uses the following third-party services:

Push Notification Categories

The app sends notifications in four categories, which can be individually enabled or disabled from Menu → Settings → Notifications:

All notifications are sent via Firebase Cloud Messaging (Google Ireland Limited). The app subscribes to Firebase topics by category; disabling a category cancels the subscription. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6.1.a GDPR), revocable at any time.

Withdrawing Consent for Notifications

You can disable notifications at any time:

  1. In the app: Menu → Settings → Notifications (main switch or per category).
  2. iOS: Settings → Notifications → 24 Seconds → Allow Notifications.
  3. Android: Settings → Apps → 24 Seconds → Notifications.

Upon full deactivation, the app unsubscribes from all topics and stops sending you notifications. The device token remains registered with Firebase until the app is uninstalled.

Extra-EU Data Transfers

Firebase and Google AdMob services may transfer data to the United States. Google adheres to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and uses Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) to ensure an adequate level of protection.

Legal Basis for Processing

The legal basis for processing is the legitimate interest of the data controller (analytics, crashlytics) and user consent (personalized advertising, push notifications).

Purposes of Processing

Data is collected for the following purposes:

Data Retention

Anonymous analytics data is retained according to Firebase policies. Push notification tokens are kept until the app is uninstalled.

Minimum Age

The app is not intended for children under 13. By using the app, the user declares to be at least 13 years old or to use it under the supervision of a parent/guardian.
